Edinburgh Gin is a fusion of old and new, tradition and discovery. Founded to honor the Scottish capital’s imaginative, creative history, this hand-crafted spirit propels classic gin into the present.
The spirit begins with a fine Scottish grain base, to which is added fourteen local botanicals, including perennial favorites like angelica and orris root, and rarer ingredients, such as lavender, milk thistle, and tart mulberry.
This exemplar blend is then distilled in small batches that climaxes in a truly singular flavor: while juniper is easily discerned, the floral and citrus elements provide a singularly crisp, lively finish.
Pairs Well With:
Edinburgh Gin’s roots are in the 18th century, but their aesthetic, seen on the bottle, is influenced by the art deco era – an apex of gin consumption. As for us, we relish Edinburgh Gin in a French 75, a quintessential 20s cocktail, while reviewing some of that era’s greatest artists, such as Le Corbusier, Sonia Delaunay, and Scottish pioneers Annie French and Walter Crane, of course.
