Aviation puts an American spin on gin. Their exceptional botanicals, including fairly traditional fare, like lavender and cardamom, and novel adds, such as Indian sarsaparilla, are steeped in grain alcohol for 48 hours before being redistilled through a 400-gallon pot still – the same type of device used to make whiskey.
The result is a spicy and smoky variant that’s in a class all its own. In fact, Wine Enthusiast gave Aviation Gin a 97-point rating – the highest of any gin. It’s little wonder actor Ryan Reynolds bought a stake in 2018.
