Leonardo Veronesi began the first experiments with the creation of Luz Gin in 2013. After years of experimentation with different botanical species, we managed to obtained a distillate that is both fresh and aromatic. Made by 9 botanical species, all from Trentino ( Juniper;Bay leaves; Olive leaves; Asperula; Rosemary; Sage; Clary Sage; Wild Mint; Lemon) left to infuse separately and subsequently distilled in a 1000 litre discontinuous alembic still.

Oh yes – LUZ Gin and I have drunk a few in fifty years. Luz is an impeccable drop… Between my best mate, a man of implacable culture, and the great Sir Charles Blunt from Tanqueray, a pair of experts who appreciate the nuance of lovely aromatics. Was it the rosemary or the mint? The first sniff told me it was a grand gin.
A good gin is always best when served cold and with friends. Hard to find, but good Italian lads own my local liquor store – they also know good gin!
Luz is perfect when the sun drops over the horizon on a hill overlooking the Indian Ocean. It brings out memories of grand friends—sublime!
