Holiday Russian

When a White Russian meets a Christmas Russian you get a creamy coffee gin cocktail. Trust us on this one, the flavor is impeccable. But we do suggest using a gin brand that is more on the mild side, meaning, a gin brand that is not strongly flavored by a single botanical. To find the right gin for you, check out our gin brand directory from around the world.

In this gin cocktail you will find our spirit of choice, gin, the slightly bitter triple sec, and an all around favorite breakfast drink flavor, coffee liqueur and some cream. Though we do not suggest having this cocktail for breakfast. The flavor might be sweet and smooth, but the alcohol level will get to you quick.

Holiday Russian

There are many opinions about where and when coffee liqueur was invented, some dating all the way back to the 16th century. However, there are a few brands known around the world today that provide the unique flavor. Although they can be deliciously enjoyed on their own, the flavor multiplies when mixed with other spirits and beverages.

When it comes to the cream, the best option is using heavy cream, although dairy free alternatives will do. The thicker and heavier the cream alternative the better, but keep in mind that the texture and flavor might alter a bit. Great alternatives include coconut based cream, oat based cream, nut based cream, and more. The choice is yours.
