Blue Gin – Arctic Blue Gin
There’s something about gins made in the Arctic and other colder regions of the world that bring with it a unique taste you won’t find anywhere else. It’s usually due to the local botanicals used in the gin, as only hearty plants can survive the cold and snow. Arctic Blue uses a number of local berries. The distillery also uses the berries for wine making, so this particular gin has a subtle sweetness. Don’t worry though, it’s not overly sweet. The sugars in these smaller berries don’t pack the same kind of sugar. It’s just enough to blend nicely with the junipers and give you a cool, refreshing gin.
Pairs With
Swap out a margarita and instead sip an Arctic Blue gin cocktail while munching on chips, salsa, guac, and other Mexican food dishes. Not big into Mexican food? Bring in something spicy, like Thai, and this gin will offer a nice compliment.
Love the hint of cardamom and the fresh taste!
