The base of this Swedish gin is a locally sourced winter barley. This alone is going to give the gin a slightly different taste, right out of the gate, from what you might be accustomed to. There’s a sweet, herby-like taste to it thanks to the barley. An additional eight botanicals are then used to craft the unique Ragnarok flavor, including dill, lingonberries, caraway, and a handful of others. In case you’re curious, lingonberry is part of the cranberry family. It tastes a little different, but there are some similarities you’ll probably connect with. In fact, you wouldn’t be the first person to say you taste a subtle cranberry in the gin.
